Parco Nazionale dell'Asinara
The Park embraces the island of Asinara and the surrounding marine area. The west of the island presents high cliffs while to the east there are broad inlets and small beaches. It is covered in typical Mediterranean scrub and boasts remarkable permanent and migratory fauna (among which mouflon, white donkeys, wild horses, falcons, seagulls). The shallow waters abound in rare species of red seaweed and giant limpets, while the deep sea is the perfect habitat for brown seaweed and other marine flora
