Piscinas beach

In the centre of the splendid Costa Verde coastline, Piscinas beach is an incredible expanse of sand dunes, moulded by the strong Mistral wind, which look out onto a crystal clear sea. The idyllic waters, however, are deceptive because below the surface there are strong underwater currents. The beach lies to the south of Torre dei Corsari, an area which gets its name from the marauders who plundered the coasts until 1800. It can be reached from Montevecchio (one of the most important towns in the Geo-mineral Park) on a long dirt road and across a small steam
