Is Arenas beach
This beach lies just a few km from the town and is characterised by its impressive sand dunes, which stretch for about 5 km. Behind the beach there is a dense artificial pinewood, which was created in the 1950s to protect the dunes from the wind and to slow down the phenomenon of desertification in the area. To the north of the beach of Is Arenas visitors can admire the natural monument of S’Archittu, an archway carved in the rock by the wind and water.
