Area archeologica di Monte Sirai

This site was inhabited as far back as Neolithic times and the Nuragic age. Later, in 750 BC, it became a Phoenician settlement (one of the most important on the island). Today visitors can still admire the remains of the temple of Ashtart, the village, the Necropolis and the tophet, where the remains of 12 children were discovered.
