Bosa

The town, although only two kilometres from the sea to the south of Alghero, is part of the Province of Nuoro. It is the only town in Sardinia which rises up on the banks of a river, the Temo, which is also navigable. It is dominated by the Malaspina Castle from the XII century and boasts a charming historical centre known as “Sa Costa” (the rock). The ruins of the “conzas” (tanneries) bear witness to the town’s main activity during the nineteenth century
