Stintino
Stintino was developed to provide work and accommodation for the farmers who were driven off the island of Asinara, when a lazaret was built on the island in the 1800s. Since then the village has become one of the most well-known tourist resorts in Sardinia (in August Stintino attracts over 40,000 visitors, more than 40 times the number of locals) thanks, above all, to the beauty of the surrounding natural environment
