Cavalcata Sarda
This festival originated at the end of the 1800s as a tribute to the Savoy family on a visit to Sardinia. Over the years the festival has become an important event for the whole island. It is a colourful procession of people in traditional Sardinian costumes on foot, on horseback and in decorated carts, accompanied by dancing and folk music.
