Isola dei Cavoli
This island is part of the Marine Park of Villasimius and probably gets its name from the wild cabbage which grows there, together with numerous other botanical species. The lighthouse, which incorporates the old lookout tower and is covered in violet mosaic tesserae, is now used as a research centre by the Faculty of Agriculture of Cagliari University. There is also the wreck of a Spanish ship, full of plates, bowls, azulejos, as well as cannons and other weapons, which sank in the surrounding waters in the XV century, but can still be viewed today
